Club launches Kent 150: Your 150

Kent Cricket is delighted to unveil an interactive project celebrating the 150th year of the Club.

Whatever the weather or state of play, ‘Kent 150: Your 150’ will be an opportunity for Kent’s supporters, members and visitors to be a part of the club’s anniversary year – and we want our members and supporters to tell us who and what they think should be in a roll-call of their 150 favourite players, events and memories of Kent Cricket.

Was it Frank Woolley hitting the Pavilion clock? Matt Walker’s 275 in 1996? Kent Women’s record eighth County Championship win?  Or just your favourite seat in the Underwood & Knott Stand on the first day of the season?

Kent Cricket and the Kent Cricket Heritage Trust will add the memories of the ‘Kent cricket family’ to these stories and celebrations alongside images and memories from the club’s collections – from Lord Harris to the Lime Tree and from the great 1970s teams to the Twenty20 Cup win in 2007.

Supporters and members’ contributions will be exhibited digitally via the Kent Cricket website throughout the duration of the project.

Later in the year a display of icons from across the eras, and a ‘memory box’ of photos, will be based in the Lime Tree Café at The Spitfire Ground, St Lawrence and The County Ground, Beckenham.
