Club statement: Adam Riley

Adam Riley has left Kent Cricket by mutual consent after nine seasons at the county.
Since making his debut in 2011, the Sidcup-born spinner originally provided good competition for James Tredwell, taking 14 Championship wickets in his debut season at an impressive average of 25.79 and also claiming career best figures of 7-150 against Hampshire. He also made regular appearances in the Kent Spitfires white-ball sides, representing the county in over 100 matches in all formats.
He broke through as first-choice spinner in four-day cricket in 2014: taking 48 wickets in 15 County Championship appearances.
His consistent displays were rewarded with a call-up to the England Performance Programme for a batting and spin camp in Sri Lanka and subsequently made his England Lions debut against South Africa A in Bloemfontein in February 2015.
Most recently he contributed 10 wickets in the final few games of the 2018 County Championship campaign where Kent secured promotion into Division One.
