Club to support Air Ambulance Charity Kent Surrey Sussex once more in 2022

Kent Cricket is pleased to be able to extend its partnership with Air Ambulance Charity Kent Surrey Sussex (KSS), the Club’s official Charity Partner for the 2021 and now 2022 seasons.

The decision to extend the partnership for another year comes after a season of limited opportunities for Kent Cricket and KSS to help raise funds together due to the pandemic.

KSS provides world-class, fast-response and emergency medical care every hour of every day, and has saved thousands of lives. Their charity headquarters are located at Rochester Airport, and their aircraft hangered and maintained at Redhill Aerodrome.

KSS covers an area of 7,390 km² in the South East of England, and has attended more than 35,000 incidents since they were founded in 1989, saving thousands of lives.

Kent Cricket’s Director of Partnerships, Andy Griffiths, said: “We’re really pleased to be able to partner with a local charity that makes such a positive impact for another season.

“On top of an extension of KSS advertisements in our Digital Match Programmes and on the big screen at The Spitfire Ground, St Lawrence, we’re looking forward to welcoming KSS fundraisers in person at Kent Cricket stadia for the first time in 2022, and more.”

Head of Corporate Relations at KSS, Julie Clare said: “We’re delighted that Kent Cricket has chosen to extend their support of KSS and thank them for their ongoing dedication to our charity.

“We’re looking forward to continuing our work with them to help raise much needed funds and awareness for our world-leading, life-saving service.”
