Come and celebrate Fathers’ Day with the Kent Spitfires!

Wednesday 16th June 2010

Come along and help cheer the Spitfires to victory at Beckenham and be in with a chance to WIN BEER FOR A YEAR, courtesy of our t20 sponsor ‘Spitfire“ (over 18s only).

The action, at Beckenham, starts this Sunday, at 3.00pm and we want you to be a key part of it.

Kent County Cricket Club is inviting you to come and help Rob Key“s Spitfires reach Friends Provident t20 finals day for the fourth season in a row.

The Spitfires are one of the best Twenty20 sides around and have a vast array of quality players including Darren Stevens, who finished as the competition“s most valuable player last year, England spinner James Tredwell, Geraint Jones and, not forgetting, Keysy himself.

Kent have two t20 group matches at the County Ground, Beckenham this year. The first is on Sunday 20 June against the Somerset Sabres. Starting at 3.00pm, the game promises to be one to remember with the likes of hard-hitting West Indian Kieron Pollard, gun batsman Marcus Trescothick and Indian left-arm spinner Murali Kartik all coming to town as part of an impressive Sabres line-up.

Then, on Wednesday June 23, see how Australian legend Andrew Symonds, a former Kent overseas player, gets on against his former county. The Lions also boast the immense talents of former Pakistan captain Younis Khan and county run-machine Mark Ramprakash. The action begins at 5.30pm for this midweek spectacular.
