Area Cricket Festival Roundup

During the Jubilee week our 8 Area Cricket Programmes enjoyed their first festivals of the summer. Teams from the Under 11, Under 12, Under 13 and Under 14 age groups attended venues across the county in their first round of matches.

Matches were played at Tonbridge School and Tonbridge CC, Upchurch CC, Minster CC, Sevenoaks School and Old Colfeians. Huge thanks to the venues that hosted matches and their dedicated staff for all their efforts both on and off the pitch to provide a great experience for the players.

It was great to see the players back in action and the standard of play was superb. Particular congratulations to our new Area Licence holders at Bromley Bulldogs and Greenwich and Lewisham Lightning who were appointed last summer and have hit the ground running.

Although a couple of days were rain effected there were some fantastic results and individual performances, tied games, batters scoring hundreds and fifties and enthralling run chases- all the results, stats and current league tables can be found on our playcricket website.

The next festivals take place at the start of the summer holidays- we look forward to seeing more fantastic performances.
