Girls’ Area Hubs Conclude

Monday 9th May 2022

The 2022 North & South Kent Girls’ Area Hubs have now drawn to a close after a successful first year.

This year has seen a re-design of the cricket provision at Area level for girls in Kent. The new hubs have been designed to deliver additional provision, alongside & aligning closely to the programmes run at a county level. They have been open to girls aged U14 and U18 who were nominated for, but not selected, for the Kent Girls’ Talent Pathway Squads and the purpose behind them has been to support a wider network of players with their development & to ensure that we are continuing to improve & increase the level of female cricket within Kent.

Players involved with the hubs have participated in sessions run by current county coaches, exploring a variety of aspects of the game and focusing on developing their Technical, Tactical & Physical elements through a balance of skill & scenario-based training.

We wish all players an enjoyable summer season and look forward to what will be a competitive County Trials process come September.
