Kent Girl’s Club Festival Dates Released

For the 2021 season, Kent Cricket are looking to expand on their current Girls’ Club Competition offer, introducing an ’80 Ball’ format for the U13 and U15 Girl’s age groups.

These competitions will sit alongside our long running U11 Girls’ Softball Pairs Festivals, that run in the school summer holidays and the existing North Kent Junior League framework, already providing competive playing offers for all three girl’s age groups.

The new format U13 and U15 Hardball Festivals will have two Regional Group Stages with the winner of each progressing to the County Final. Kent Cricket will also nominate an U15 Girl’s Club Side to represent our County in the Regional Playoffs, firstly against our Surrey counterparts and if successful, onto the Regional Finals.

The demand for these new competitions at these age groups reflects the growing number of clubs in the County developing girls only teams and now looking for suitable female club opposition. This growth is a very positive trend, as more and more clubs aim to build sustainable pathways for young female club players.

• The u13’s Festival will be running on 26th, 27th & 29th July
• The u15’s Festival will be running on 2nd, 5th & 6th August
• The U13/15’s Finals days will both be held at Kings Hill on the 23rd August.
