Kent team win Super 1s Competition

A combined team from our Bromley and Bexley hubs recently took part in a Super 1s competition at Leyton in Essex. The standard of play across all teams taking part was high and the atmosphere and team spirit shown by all the teams taking part was excellent. The event was a great success. The team from Kent played 3 games and won all 3 of their games, the first by only 4 runs.

Funded by the charity The Lords Taverners, Super 1s is a fully funded, and therefore free to take part in, opportunity for anyone with a disability to play softball cricket on a weekly basis. It takes place outside of school or college hours and participants are able to take part in several competitions a year.

Kent currently has 3 Super 1s hubs running weekly sessions:

  • Bexley on a Monday evening 6.00-7.30pm
  • Bromley on a Friday evening 4.30-5.30pm
  • Folkestone on a Wednesday evening 4.30-6.00pm.
