Outdoor Eights County Champions 2024

Thursday 27th June 2024

In the 2024 Outdoor Eights County Finals, Weald of Kent Grammar have won the U13 girls’ competition and Walthamstow Hall are champions for the U15 girls’ age group.

The Outdoor Eights is a competitive softball cricket competition for both U13 and U15 Girls’ age groups, open to all secondary schools. Kent Cricket ran an East and West regional cluster for each age group in term 6, leading to the County Finals hosted at The Mote Cricket Club in Maidstone.

Close to thirty schools participated this year with Sandra Hepple, competition co-ordinator, stating, “it is fantastic to see the standard of girls’ cricket growing in both the softball and hardball formats. The competition this year was probably one of the most competitive we’ve seen, with the County Finals really closely matched. We look forward to seeing all the teams again next year”.

A huge thanks must go to all participating students and to all the venues and teachers who made these events possible.
