Over £35,000 raised at East Kent Lord’s Taverners Christmas Lunch

Kent Cricket was pleased to once more host the East Kent Lord’s Taverners’ Christmas Lunch at The Spitfire Ground on Thursday 9 December.

The UK’s leading youth cricket and disability sport charity, Lord’s Taverners creates opportunities for young people with a disability and those living in higher poverty.

Over £35,000 was raised in the East Kent region in the charity’s Christmas Lunch hosted by the Club, and combined with the total from the West Kent region, over £61,000 was raised in total across the county.

Kent Cricket’s Director of Partnerships, Andy Griffiths, said: “The Club has a long-standing affiliation with the Lord’s Taverners, who do fantastic work both nationally and right here in Kent, giving opportunities to young people via the vehicle of cricket.

“We were delighted to host the charity’s Christmas event this past week, and we’ve received some great feedback on it – it’s fantastic to raise as much money as we did for such a worthwhile cause.”
