Scorers to remember the ‘Rule of Two’

The ECB has removed the requirement for scorers to have a DBS check but we’d like to remind scorers of the “Rule of Two” when scoring alongside a young person aged under 18.

Any teams with a young scorer under the age of 18 should ensure they are accompanied by an adult if scoring in a scorebox or away from the rest of the team. Adult scorers shouldn’t find themselves in a position where they are asked to score alongside a young scorer without another adult present. This is to safeguard both the young person AND the scorer.
