Women’s Club League Round Up: 2021 Season

The Kent Women’s Club Leagues for the 2021 Season have now come to a close and the tables have been finalised. For a reminder of the league structure, please see below:

  • Women’s Cricket Southern League: Premier Division – 50 Overs (Regional Hardball League for Southern Counties)
  • Women’s Cricket Southern League: Championship – 45 Overs (Regional Hardball League for Southern Counties)
  • Kent Women’s Development League (20-40 flexible over Hardball League for Kent Clubs)
  • Kent Women’s Softball Cricket Festivals (12-16 over Softball Pairs format for Kent Clubs)

The Women’s Cricket Southern League finished for 2021 with Kent’s St Lawrence & Highland Court CC sitting third and Canterbury CC relegated to the WCSL Championship for next season.

The Premier T20 Competition saw Canterbury CC finish a little higher in the table, sitting just below St Lawrence & Highland Court CC.

In the WCSL Championship, Hayes had a successful season sitting near the top of the division. Bells Yew Green were relegated by the closest of margins, 0.01 points off survival, so they will participate in a County league next year.

Finally, in the Kent Women’s Development League, Tunbridge Wells were the standout team topping the table, with six out of eight wins.
