Women’s Softball Cricket Festivals Underway

During Women’s Big Cricket Month in Kent, we are excited to announce that Women’s Softball Cricket for the 2021 season is officially underway.

Both Farningham and Penshurst Park Cricket Clubs have recently run successful festivals, with Sidcup Cricket Club due to host multiple teams in their festival this Sunday.

On Sunday 18th June, Farningham hosted 10 Women’s teams at their ground for what was a fantastic day of cricket, sun, music, food and drink, ending with a chance to win a Kent Women’s signed bat for the lucky raffle winner.

On the same day, Penshurst Park hosted 4 teams for a festival in their first year of Women’s Softball Cricket. In an impressively busy season for their women, their newly formed women’s team managed to win all three of their games.

In Kent we have plenty more festivals coming up, Penshurst host another two festivals on Sunday 11th July and Sunday 5th September. The next festival, however, is this Sunday 4th July, as Sidcup Cricket Club host for the first time supported by Kent Cricket.
