Kent County Cricket Club has today announced that Dewald Nel will leave the Club following on-going injury problems. The right-arm seam bowler joined the Club in 2010, having made 18 one-day international and ten t20 appearances for Scotland. The highlight of his time with the Club was taking 9 for 119 in the final Kent game of the 2010 LV=County Championship.

Commenting on his departure, Dewald Nel said: “Having finished on such a high last year, I was really looking forward to this season. However, it is with great regret that I have decided to leave Kent Cricket due to an on-going back problem. I would like to thank everyone for their support during my time at Kent, I will hold fond memories of The Garden of England and I wish the club and its players a successful 2011 season."
