After a five-wicket defeat in testing batting conditions, Kent have the option to bowl first at Emirates Riverside with batsman Alex Blake recalled in place of injured seamer Grant Stewart.

The 23-year-old is sidelined with a hamstring strain and is unavailable as well as Mitch Claydon (hand) and James Tredwell (shoulder).

South Africa Test opener Aiden Markram is set to play for the first of four matches for the hosts before former Kent overseas wicketkeeper-batsman Tom Latham joins the club next month.

Veteran winter signings Australian seamer Nathan Rimmington and all-rounder Will Smith, who rejoined from Hampshire to offset the departure of all-rounders Paul Coughlin and Keaton Jennings as well as club record wicket-taker Graham Onions.
