First ballot results announced for LV= Insurance County Championship Matches

The Club is pleased to announce that all applications for Match Day tickets from Members in Priority Group 1 have been successful in the first ballot to attend the three remaining home matches in the Group stages of LV= Insurance County Championship.

A limited number of Members and 6 Pack Season Ticket holders in Priority Group 2 have also been successful in securing Match Day tickets.

Priority Group 1 includes all Life members and all Annual members who had their membership fees in 2020 retained and renewed before the early bird deadline of 31 January 2021. Priority Group 2 includes all Annual Members who had their membership fees in 2020 retained and renewed after the early bird deadline and 6 Pack holders who didn’t claim a refund and rolled over their Season Tickets.

All three matches are scheduled to take place at The Spitfire Ground, St Lawrence when Kent play Glamorgan on Thursday 20 – Sunday 23 May, Northants on Thursday 3 – Sunday 6 June and match against Sussex during Canterbury Week on Sun 11-Wed 14 July.

The COVID-19 adjusted capacity at The Spitfire Ground, St Lawrence for the first match against Glamorgan has been initially set at 950. The Club will work closely with the relevant authorities to review this capacity after the Glamorgan match and this may result in additional Match Day tickets being released for the matches against Northants and Sussex.

All Priority Group 1 and Priority Group 2 Members who have been successful will be contacted by email by 5pm on Thursday 13 May. As well, as receiving confirmation of the matches they are able to attend, Members will receive a step-by-step guide on how to claim their tickets through the new on-line Members portal using their Invicta Number.

Members are urged to act quickly to secure their tickets and will have three days from receipt of email to claim their tickets before they are returned for reallocation to the waiting list.

New 2021 Membership cards are also being sent out this week and Members will be required to show their Match Day Ticket, Membership card and ID to gain entry to the ground on a Match Day.

Chief Executive Simon Storey commented, ”There has been a huge amount of interest from Members and 6 Pack Season Ticket holders and the fact that we are over-subscribed shows how excited everybody is at the prospect of a return of crowds at Kent Cricket matches.

“It has been an incredibly busy period as we prepare to welcome our Members back to The Spitfire Ground, St Lawrence. I would like to thank Members for their patience as we have worked through a huge number of enquiries and a very complex planning operation to ensure that we can safely welcome back as many Members  as possible.

“We are pleased that we have been able to reward the loyalty of many of our Members with priority access for those in Priority Group 1 and also some in Priority Group 2.

“Whilst we know there will be a number of disappointed people in Priority Groups 2, 3 and 4, we are working hard with the relevant authorities to increase capacity at The Spitfire Ground, St Lawrence as the country follows it’s Roadmap out of Lockdown.

“With the pandemic situation in the UK continuing to improve, a robust set of COVID-19 protocols in place at The Spitfire Ground, St Lawrence and any unclaimed tickets being reallocated, we are optimistic that we will be able to release further Match Day tickets in the coming days and weeks. Members and 6 Pack holders in Priority Group 2 and 3 will be contacted as soon as any subsequent ballot is completed.

“The Vitality Blast and Royal London Cup ballot results have yet to be announced and Members and Six Pack holders who are successful will be contacted in line with the published deadlines.”
