Girls’ Club County Finals 2026
Thursday 10th September 2026

The Kent Girls’ Hardball Club County Cricket Finals have concluded for the 2026 season, with Bexley and Hayes securing the Under 11 Girls Hardball and Under 13 Girls titles respectively.
Both Finals were held mid-county at Kings Hill Cricket Club and were a superb standard, played in a fantastic spirit.
Kent U11 Girls’ Club Finals
The U11 Girls’ Club Hardball Final occured on Tuesday 18th August, with winners from the North Kent and Invicta Junior Leagues girls’ club divisions this year. We welcomed Bexley, Hayes and Holmesdale club teams to the day. Hayes were last years winner, so they were looking to retain their title up against two tough teams. The competition format was a triangular competition in a round robin format, with any ties on points decided on net run rate.
All three games were packed with some fantastic bowling, batting and fielding. The wickets were knocked out of the ground enough times to require some repairs to the hard ground. Coming down to the last match and final innings of the day, it was still not clear as to who the winner was going to be. It was a very tight last fixture with Holmesdale within touching distance of winning the title, however Hayes pulled out a win to make it one win for each team. This meant run rate was to be the decider and ended up just as close as the matches, with 0.05 RR between the three teams. The winner, winning by 1/100th was Bexley CC, with Holmesdale CC second and Hayes third, although the title could have gone to any of the three clubs.
Kent U13′ Girls’ Club Finals
The U13s Girls’ Club Hardball Finals was held on Wednesday 19th August, with teams from the Invicta League, Saxon Shore League, Weald of Kent League and North Kent Junior League. With four teams playing at Kings Hill CC, the first match of the day for all was a semi-final. Match 1 saw Marden take on St Lawrence and Highland Court and Match 2 saw Sissinghurst take on Hayes.
In Semi-Final 1, with a quick outfield, any fielding errors were punished with boundaries or extra runs. Once the players got into their stride, there were some excellent displays of fielding and wonderful throws, leading to a great run out. Bowlers were on target all day and any missed shots saw wickets falling. In the end it was St Lawrence and Highland Court who came out the winners and progressed to the final.
In Semi-Final 2, Hayes set a very high target of 160 for Sissinghurst to get in their 80 balls. The Hayes batters went out fast and hard at the start, with the quick outfield meaning any fielding errors got punished. Sissinghurst did not give up and kept working hard in the field to try and reduce the number of boundaries. In their batting innings, however, Sissinghurst couldn’t quite match their score and Hayes ended as winners, progressing to the Final.
The Final between Hayes and St Lawrence and Highland Court was an exciting match, with plenty going on. Many battles were had between bowler and batter, but once again the Hayes batters did a great job in the middle, all contributing to the total. St Lawrence and Highland Court fielding team did a good job of trying to restrict them, but Hayes came out eventual U13s Girls’ Club County Champions.
Sissinghurst played Marden in the 3rd/4th match and both teams made their clubs proud with the effort that they put in over the day. In the end Sissinghurst beat Marden to take third place.
