Gilchrist joins Kent

Kent Cricket is delighted to announce the signing of Somerset paceman Nathan Gilchrist on loan for the remainder of the 2020 season, with an agreement in place to join the county on a long contract from 1st November.

The 20-year-old right-armer has yet to make his first class debut but took four wickets in one innings against Gloucestershire and finished the match with figures of 5/76 in the recent pre-season friendly.

Kent’s Director of Cricket, Paul Downton, said: “We’re really pleased that Nathan has agreed to join us at Kent. He is an exciting prospect who we are confident will become a significant cricketer for the county.

“He is a talented young bowler who can bowl some quick spells and we look forward to giving him plenty of opportunity and encouragement to help develop his undoubted potential.’
