David Balcombe was the most robust of Kent’s bowlers on Day Two at Cheltenham, taking 3 for 92 on a day which was dominated by Gloucestershire’s Chris Taylor. Taylor ended the day on an unbeaten 192, just four short of his personal best score of 196, with Gloucestershire reaching 486 for 7; 281 ahead of Kent at stumps.
Gloucestershire’s Alex Gidman (79) put on 160 for the fifth wicket with Taylor, and Will Gidman (35) also shared a stand of 91 with Taylor.
