Good performances in Second XI T20 defeats

Despite some good performances in two close matches, Kent Second XI suffered defeat in their their T20 games against a much more experienced Glamorgan side at Newport on Monday.

Captain and wicketkeeper Adam Rouse was the only senior player in the Kent side

In the first match, Glamorgan scored 162/7 from their 20 overs, Jeremy Lawlor scoring 48 with Sheikh taking 3 for 28 and Justin Watson 2 for 33.

Kent could only reach 156/7 to fall just short of the winning total. They needed 13 runs off the last over, which proved too big a challenge. Marcus O Riordan scored 53 with nine boundaries.
