Hospital Radio Providing Coverage During Tunbridge Wells Cricket Week

Hospital Radio Tunbridge Wells are providing a ball-by-ball commentary of Tunbridge Wells Cricket Week matches. Patients listening in the Kent and Sussex, and Tonbridge Cottage Hospitals will be able to enjoy the commentary as well as cricket fans; who can log on and listen to coverage at www.hrtw.org.uk.

The charity broadcasting service has been providing commentary on the four day LV County Championship match between Kent and Leicestershire, and will also provide commentary of the Kent Spitfires’ Friends Life t20 matches against Somerset Sabres on June 3rd and against Hampshire Royals on June 5th.

Hospital Radio Tunbridge Wells Station Manager, Chris Manser commented; “We’re extremely pleased and excited to be providing coverage again; the last six years we have seen the number of people listening to our output steadily growing and we have received very positive feedback on the professionalism shown by our commentary team.”

Kent County Cricket Club has given the Hospital Radio team a prime location in the Pavilion to watch the match and provide commentary. Chris Woodward, Chris Reed, Tim Godsalve and Phil Mills will present from The Nevill Ground, while Chris Manser will be based at the studio to provide regular updates on the scores from other matches around the country and provide entertainment during breaks in play.

Coverage of the t20 match between the Spitfires and Somerset Sabres on June 3rd starts at 5pm and coverage of the match against Hampshire Royals on June 5th starts at 2pm. Coverage will also be available by visiting www.hrtw.org.uk and clicking the ‘Listen Live’ button.

During the evening and overnight online listeners can hear the station’s normal output, including the request shows for patients in the Kent and Sussex, and Tonbridge Cottage Hospitals.
