Upcoming online Members’ Forum announced

Following a successful online Members’ Forum in April, which was attended by over 250 members, Kent Cricket has announced a second date.
Exclusively for Club Members, the forum will be held on Wednesday 17th June at 5pm – 6:30pm.
The Club recognises, that following recent announcements about further delays to the season, it is inevitable that members may have questions around the 2020 season and how the Club and players are faring in the current period.
In-line with all physical Members’ Forums, this will be accessible to all Kent Cricket Members who hold a valid 2020 membership.
Kent Cricket will be represented at the online members’ forum by:
- Chairman – Simon Philip
- Treasurer – Derek Taylor
- CEO – Simon Storey
- Director of Cricket – Paul Downton
- Head Coach – Matt Walker
Those with valid 2020 Memberships will receive an e-mail with joining instructions by Friday 12th June. Due to time restrictions, the Club kindly requests that all members submit their questions for the panel in advance, via members.kent@ecb.co.uk.
If any Member does not receive communication about the online forum by Monday 15th June, please contact members.kent@ecb.co.uk.
The Club looks forward to answering any questions that members may have at this time.
Please note the online Members’ Forum will not take the place of the formal AGM which was postponed from its original date of 6 April.
Instead, in the light of the COVID-19 pandemic, on 20 May 2020, the Corporate Governance and Insolvency Bill was published and had its first reading in the House of Commons.
The Bill will allow companies, such as Kent Cricket, that need to hold an AGM to do so in ways that are aligned with the current social distancing rules. The bill is expected to complete its passage through parliament on 3 June.
As soon as the bill is passed and arrangements have been confirmed by the Club, Members will be contacted with details of the new date for the AGM and how to join.
