Kent duo help complete Windies whitewash
Kent vice-captain Joe Denly took a wicket and a catch as England demolished the West Indies with an eight wicket win at Warner Park in St. Kitts on Sunday evening.
Finishing with bowling figures of 2-0-14-1, Denly took the wicket of Jason Holder; the Windies captain swiping at Denly’s leg-spin bowling to sky the ball to Chris Jordan at long-on to take the catch.
England have now won the three-match T20I series 3-0, completing a whitewash over the hosts.
Kent captain Sam Billings and Canterbury-born Denly featured in all three games.
With new career T20I top scores of 87 for Billings in the 2nd T20I and 30 for Denly in the 1st fixture, both Kent Spitfires players starred for England across the series.
The Kent-bred duo made big contributions in the field for the visitors, stopping multiple boundaries and both taking catches across the series (Billings 2, Denly 1).
