Kent Spitfires’ opening away match of the 2024 Vitality Blast is an away tie against Middlesex, which will be held at the Cloud County Ground, Chelmsford. This is part of a new out-ground agreement between Middlesex and Essex, for Middlesex fixtures that cannot be accommodated at Lord’s.

‘Fortress Canterbury’ will host Kent Spitfires’ home Vitality Blast matches next year, and The Spitfire Ground will have four Friday night and two Sunday afternoon T20 matches in the coming season.

Kent Spitfires vs. Essex in the Vitality Blast will take place on a Friday night in the competition’s ‘Rivals Week’, where all counties will face their biggest rivals across the same period. The Battle of the Bridge at The Spitfire Ground will be on Friday 21 June.

‘Friday Finale’, the final day of the group stage of the Vitality Blast, may have increased jeopardy with knockout qualification potentially going down to the wire for some sides. Kent’s ‘Friday Finale’ of the 2024 T20 group stage will be an Oldest Rivalry match-up with Surrey in Canterbury on 19 July.

The Spitfire Ground will also host another T20 double-header after a successful Charlotte Edwards Cup & Vitality Blast matchday in 2023 – South East Stars will face Central Sparks in T20 competition on a Sunday lunchtime, 9 June, before Kent Spitfires face Middlesex in the afternoon. One ticket will gain entry to both matches on the day.

Over 1,800 tickets have already been sold for England Women’s International T20 against New Zealand in Canterbury on Thursday 11 July – taking place across a two-day celebration of T20 cricket – Kent Spitfires face Sussex Sharks in the War of the Wealds the very next day at The Spitfire Ground, which was a sell-out fixture in 2023. Tickets to see England in T20 action in Canterbury are available to purchase here.

The County Ground, Beckenham will continue to cement its reputation as Kent’s cricketing stronghold in the Metropolitan part of the county, sharing hosting duties with The Spitfire Ground for Kent Spitfires’ home Metro Bank One Day Cup group matches in high Summer in August. Two home group One Day Cup matches will be played at each venue.

The South East Stars will also be competing at The County Ground, Beckenham all Summer, with nine matches scheduled across both the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy one-day competition and the Charlotte Edwards Cup T20 tournament. More fixtures to be held at Beckenham will be confirmed soon as possible.

With a packed schedule across Canterbury and Beckenham, the return of Men’s first-team cricket to Tunbridge Wells is once again not feasible in 2024. After a successful programme in 2023, designed to support the eventual return of First XI cricket to the Nevill, the Club will continue to take Second XI, Academy and Women’s cricket to Tunbridge Wells in 2024. We continue to work with Tunbridge Wells Cricket Club & Tunbridge Wells Borough Council looking to the future.

NEW for 2024: all Men’s domestic finals across all knockout competitions will take place in September. Vitality Blast knockout matches are scheduled between 3 & 6 September, with Finals Day at Edgbaston Cricket Ground on Saturday 14 September. Trent Bridge is once again hosting the final of the Metro Bank One Day Cup on Sunday 22 September.

Should Kent qualify for a home knockout match in either competition or for any Final, 2024 Kent Members will get first priority to tickets.
