Kent Spitfires beat Gloucestershire Gladiators in rain affected t20 clash

Kent 79-3 beat Gloucestershire 115-4 by seven wickets (D/L)

Kent Spitfires smashed their way to a seven wicket win against Gloucestershire Gladiators in Bristol, with five balls to spare, to move up the Friends Lifet20 South Group table.

Kevin O'Brien hit an unbeaten 43 as Gloucestershire Gladiators made 116 for 5 in an already reduced 16 over match. The game was then reduced further, meaning that Kent had to reach an adjusted target of 76 from 10 overs.

Joe Denly (23), Rob Key (10) and Azhar Mahwood (20) made a solid start, it was then left to Darren Stevens (11 not out) and Sam Northeast (8 not out) to lead Kent to victory, both striking the ball nicely as Kent won, finishing on 79 for 3 off the first ball of the final over.
