Kent stars to support Lord’s Taverners’ Runs for Change in 2022

Four Kent Men’s players will be supporting Lord’s Taverners cricket programmes in Kent through their fundraising this season.

Joe Denly, Alex Blake and Tawanda Muyeye will be helping to empower young people with disabilities through cricket in Kent this Summer, by taking part in the Lord’s Taverners Runs for Change campaign.

When the county season begins this week each of the three batters will be helping the charity raise money with every run they score. You can sponsor each run scored for as little, or as much as you like – and you can cap the maximum amount you’d like to donate, while also choosing whether you donate for a single match, month or year.

Denly, Blake and Muyeye join Zak Crawley by taking part in the campaign. Crawley’s England runs have been raising funds for the charity since July 2020 and he’s succeeded in raising over £3,600 for the cause so far.

All funds raised will go towards the Lord’s Taverners charity disability cricket programmes delivered in conjunction with the Kent Cricket’s Community Team. Using cricket as a tool to engage young people with disabilities, the Super 1s and Table Cricket programmes aim to make the game as inclusive as possible and help young people learn vital life skills.
