Kent vs. Loughborough MCCU: Match Guide

Loughborough MCCU visit Canterbury in the first fixture of the 2019 cricket season to be held at The Spitfire Ground, St. Lawrence in a three-day University Match, starting on Sunday 31st March.

Entry for this fixture is free to all, and tickets do not need to be purchased.

Overseas signing Matt Renshaw and interim Kent captain Heino Kuhn will be joining up with the rest of the squad after this fixture, in time for Kent’s first County Championship fixture away at Somerset on 5th April.

Timings

Gates will open at 10:00 each day, with play due to commence at 11:00.

Parking

The ground is open for all to park without reservations for this fixture. Both the Nackington Road and Main Entrance off the Old Dover Road will be open for vehicles.

Scorecards

Complimentary scorecards will be available from the Club Shop and Lime Tree Café.

Memberships and enquiries

The main office will be open between 10:00-17:00 for anyone wishing to renew their membership or purchase tickets for future events.

Seating

After a full structural survey taken on the Frank Woolley Stand during the Winter, remedial work will be being undertaken on ‘the Woolley’ during this match, with work due to be completed by Kent’s second home fixture of the season against Hampshire on Wednesday 17th April.

Therefore, the Frank Woolley Stand will be closed for spectators during our fixture against Loughborough MCCU.

All other seating areas will be open.

All supporters attending this fixture are therefore invited to use the following covered areas:

  • Sunday 31st March: The Lime Tree Café, Chiesman Pavilion and the Cornwallis Room & HR GO Recruitment Harris Room located in the Colin Cowdrey Stand
  • Monday 1st April: The Lime Tree Café and Chiesman Pavilion
  • Tuesday 2nd April: The Lime Tree Café, Chiesman Pavilion and the Cornwallis Room & HR GO Recruitment Harris Room in the Colin Cowdrey Stand
