Kent Women fixtures released

Kent Women will get underway in the newly formed London Championship tomorrow when they take on Surrey at The Nevill Ground, Tunbridge Wells.

As previously announced before the COVID-19 crisis put domestic cricket temporarily on hold, Kent Women will be continuing the Club’s proud tradition in Women’s 50-over cricket; by contesting a new ‘London Championship’ with Essex, Surrey and Middlesex.

After playing Surrey at The Nevill, The Horses will welcome Essex to The Mote Cricket Club in Maidstone on 6th August and will take on Middlesex at Mill Hill School on 22nd August.

Live score updates from each London Championship match will come via the Kent Women Live Scores official Twitter account, with full match reports and news via the main Kent Cricket website and social media channels.

No live streaming will be available for Kent Women’s home matches.

Kent Women are playing in line with Step 4 of the ECB Return to Cricket Plan (not the professional game) and will adhere to the guidelines set. In particular:

  • Entry is free for spectators at each venue but must adhere to each venue’s COVID procedures
  • Spectators should remain socially distanced at all times and refrain from all contact with the ball e.g. returning it to the field of play
  • Spectator groups must be restricted to discrete six person gathering limits and spread out, in line with wider UK Government guidance
  • All are requested to follow social distancing guidelines at all times and to avoid attending matches if feeling unwell
