Kent Women’s Squad for Penultimate match Released

Coach Stuart Eddicott has announced his 12 women squad for Kent’s penultimate Royal London One-Day fixture this Sunday. The unbeaten team face fifth placed Berkshire at Polo Farm at 11am. Kent are currently 15 points clear at the top of the Division One table.

‘With this week’s and then the final match against Surrey to go, we are in a great position to regain our Championship title. Everyone is very focused to maintain our standards and finish strongly,’ stated Eddicott.

The squad has two changes from the 12 who comfortably accounted for Nottinghamshire at Tunbridge Wells at the end of June. Sarah Kennet and Jenni Jackson have been included with Hannah Jelfs and Lauren Griffiths rested. Tammy Beumont takes over the wicket keeping duties from Griffiths. At Tunbridge Wells Kent comfortable chased down Nott’s 142 scored in their 50 overs. Tammy Beaumont recorded a classy 92 not out, off 97 balls as they reached the target, for the loss of one wicket, in 27.5 overs.
