Kent Cricket

The Kent Women’s Cricket League has concluded for 2026, with Tunbridge Wells CC finishing as Premiership Champions and Penshurst Park CC finishing as winners of the Championship division.

The Tunbridge Wells women’s & girls’ section, revived in 2010, has seen an impressive rise to be one of the top performing women’s club sides, not just in the County but in the Country, competing for ECB national titles. This season they finished top of the Premiership division table, 37 points clear, only losing 2 games across the whole summer and qualifying for the KWCL Finals Day

Penshurst Park started a ladies section in 2021, initially softball cricket focussed and winning 3 back to back KWSCL titles. They then ventured into hardball cricket in 2024 via the Development League and in 2025 entered the Kent Women’s Cricket League structure. The team finished top of the Championship league division this year by a clear 46 points and only 3 losses, qualifying for the KWCL Finals Day.

On Sunday 6th September, the Kent Women’s Cricket League Finals were held at The Mote Cricket Club in Maidstone. The top two teams from each division featured, Tunbridge Wells vs Bexley (Premiership) and Penshurst Park vs Holmesdale (Championship) to confirm the County Champions.

KWCL Premiership Final

In the Premiership Final, Tunbridge Wells batted first and put on an impressive 246 runs for 6 wickets off the 40 overs. Daisy Brandon getting 69 of those runs with an impressive knock and special mention to Florence Knight who took 3/14 with her bowling. In response, Bexley reached 140 all out, meaning Tunbridge Wells won by 106 runs and were announced KWCL Premiership Champions.

KWCL Championship Final

In the Championship Final, Penshurst Park batted first, setting a total of 186 all out, with Bibi Calvocoressi getting 65 runs and Georgia Collins getting 3 wickets.
