MacDonald-Gay signs professional terms with Stars

Kent Women youngster Ryana MacDonald-Gay has put pen to paper on her first professional contract with the Women’s Regional side, South East Stars.

After originally being named as a part of the Stars’ Academy for the 2021 season, the 17-year-old became a mainstay in Kent Women’s victorious Vitality Women’s County T20 side this season, after making her full debut for the county in 2019.

The all-rounder goes straight into the Stars’ travelling squad to face Central Sparks today, as they look to book a place at the first ever Finals Day for the regional T20 competition, the Charlotte Edwards Cup.

MacDonald-Gay joins Horses teammates Susie Rowe, Phoebe Franklin, Alice Davidson-Richards, Kalea Moore, Grace Gibbs, Alexa Stonehouse and Tash Farrant at the South London/Metropolitan Kent based side.

She will remain available for Kent when released by the Stars to feature for the Horses.

England Women take on New Zealand Women in the last opportunity to see live cricket at The Spitfire Ground, St Lawrence in 2021 this September.
