Match Preview: Kent Women vs. Essex Women

Kent will welcome Essex to Mote Park in Maidstone for The Horses’ second match of the Women’s London Championship tomorrow from 11:00.

After defeat in their opening fixture away at Surrey, Kent will be looking to push on in the London Championship and pick up their first victory in the tournament.

Kent Women are playing in line with Step 4 of the ECB Return to Cricket Plan (not the professional game) and will adhere to the guidelines set. Specators are permitted at The Mote CC if strict protocols are met.

In particular:

  • Spectators should remain socially distanced at all times and refrain from all contact with the ball e.g. returning it to the field of play
  • Spectator groups must be restricted to discrete six person gathering limits and spread out, in line with wider UK Government guidance
  • All are requested to follow social distancing guidelines at all times and to avoid attending matches if feeling unwell

Live score updates from each London Championship match will come via the Kent Women Live Scores official Twitter account, with full match reports and news via the main Kent Cricket website and social media channels.

No live streaming will be available for Kent Women’s home matches.

Kent will be without Susie Rowe who picked up an injury against Surrey, but boosted by the returns of Hannah Jelfs and Jodie Hobson in a 12-strong matchday squad named by Head Coach, Dave Hathrill:
