Yorkshire sit second in LV= Insurance County Championship’s Group 3, earning 73 points from three wins out of four so far this season.

Opener Adam Lyth has two centuries to his name so far, including one at The Spitfire Ground, St Lawrence in the reverse fixture.

Captain Steven Patterson is Yorkshire’s most successful bowler in this year’s Championship so far, with 16 at 18.31.

The county say that David Willey will be rested for this match, with Ben Coad returning to their squad of 12.

Kent were beaten in two days by Glamorgan in the LV= Insurance County Championship at Sophia Gardens, Cardiff.

Darren Stevens celebrated his 45th birthday with his 30th first-class five-wicket haul and figures of five for 53, but Glamorgan took a first-innings lead of 59 runs which Kent only just surpassed.

Team News

Heino Kuhn has been ruled out of our next match after a re-occurance of a calf injury sustained earlier this season.

Matt Milnes is also unavailable for this fixture after picking up a slight ankle injury last week against Glamorgan.

After joining the county on loan, Matt Quinn has travelled with the squad to Yorkshire. Tawanda Muyeye is also included in a Men’s First XI squad for the first time.

Harry Podmore (side strain), Tim Groenewald (knee), Grant Stewart (abdomen) and Imran Qayyum (shoulder) remain unavailable for this match.

Vice-Captain Daniel Bell-Drummond continues to skipper the side whilst Club Captain Sam Billings is in India.
