The Horses had qualified for the Semi Finals in third place, with Glamorgan second in the group stage.
Point 16.9 in the competition’s Playing Conditions states that: “In a semi-final, if it is not possible for both teams to receive the minimum number of overs necessary to constitute a match (10 overs), the team which finished higher in the table after the Group Stage shall qualify for the Final.”
The Umpires inspected the outfield at 2pm & at 3pm, when play was officially abandoned.
No play at Sophia Gardens meant that Glamorgan secured a place in next Sunday’s Final at the Seat Unique Stadium, Bristol.
