Nearly two thousand T20 Quarter Final tickets already sold

Sunday 5th July 2009

TICKET sales have proved brisk for the Kent Spitfires’ Twenty20 Cup tie against Durham Dynamos. The tickets only went on general sale last Friday but already nearly two thousand have been snapped up.

The Spitfires are hoping for a bumper crowd and Director of Cricket, Graham Ford (pictured), says that members and fans can really help the side: "There is no doubt that the players perform better when the crowd is positive and right behind the team. If they show passion then it really helps. Hopefully we will pack the ground out and make it a great atmosphere."

Kent’s Director of Business Development, Jamie Clifford, added: "Revenue from ticket sales is very important to us – so a home quarter final is a welcome bonus. We have shown that we are one of the best Twenty20 sides around in recent years and I know our supporters will want to be part of further success. We have got a taste for Finals Day in the last two seasons and, with the support of our loyal fans, I’m sure we will want to make it a hat-trick of appearances."
