Ntini’s home bow is washed out through rain at St Lawrence

Saturday 1st May 2010

The St Lawrence ground was too wet for play according to umpires Richard Kettleborough and Rob Bailey

Kent v Durham Clydesdale Bank 40
Kent’s Clydesdale Bank 40 clash between Group C visitors Durham Dynamos was abandoned without a ball being bowled in Canterbury.
Match umpires Richard Kettleborough and Rob Bailey held a cursory inspection of the sodden St Lawrence ground at 1.50pm on Sunday afternoon and duly called the match off , awarding each side a point apiece.
The wash out ensured a dismal scheduled home debut for Kent“s overseas signing, South African pace bowler Makhaya Ntini, who only joined the Spitfires six days ago.
