OpenPlay system now in place for bookings at Spitfire Ground

A NEW online system has been introduced for bookings to be made for using the facilities at the Ames-Levett Indoor School at The Spitfire Ground, St Lawrence in Canterbury.

The OpenPlay system, which is free to join and is already in use at The County Ground, Beckenham, will enable customers to pre-book cricket nets and the Astroturf football pitch (MUGA). Customers will be asked to pay in advance.

Kent Cricket Indoor School Manager, Richard Harvey, said: “Bringing the sports facility booking system online will make it more convenient for our customers to make a booking.

“The majority of the people running clubs are volunteers who lead busy lives, so this online system allows them to book at a time that suits them and they will receive an email confirmation straight away.

“Speeding up processes and improving customer access is a key part of making booking our facilities more efficient through new technology.’’
