England batsman Ravi Bopara (pictured) is in the mood to carry on scoring for England in the Ashes series.

The Essex ace struck three consecutive tons against West Indies earlier this year, but knows that England’s comfortable series victory against the Caribbean men will be a far cry from the pressure of five matches against mighty Australia.

Bopara – speaking in our Ashes e-mag – said: "Scoring three centuries in three consecutive Tests against the West Indies has given me great confidence and I know I couldn“t have scored them at a better time with the npower Ashes series around the corner.

"I“m a confident person, but confidence comes from performances and if you“re in the right frame of mind things seem to come off – I“ve felt good since coming into the side."

Bopara started as England’s No.3 batsman when they opened the series in Cardiff’ on Wednesday, and grabbed 35 from 52 balls.
England are looking to repeat their success of 2005 – when they beat Australia 2-1 – and gain revenge for their humiliating 5-0 defeat Down Under in 2006/07.

Bopara added: "It is vitally important we get off to a good start in the first Test in Cardiff as there are 25 days of cricket ahead of us and we don“t want to be chasing the Aussies. The first Test can set the tone."

The 16-page Ashes e-mag also includes interviews with star batsman Kevin Pietersen, James Anderson, Mitchell Johnson and Richie Benaud, plus comprehensive England and Australia stats and a look at some great Ashes moments of the past.
