Sam Billings top-scores again as Sixers beat Scorchers

Sam Billings top-scored for a second successive match as Sydney Sixers beat Perth Scorchers in the Big Bash League.

The Kent Cricket Academy graduate opened the batting and struck seven boundaries in an innings of 40 off 30 balls to help the Sixers chase 131 with two overs and six wickets to spare.

The 25-year-old opened the batting with Brad Haddin and got the Sixers ahead of the run rate with several sublime shots including a wristy flick to the midwicket fence off England colleague David Willey.

Next up for the Sixers is a trip to play Adelaide Strikers on New Year’s Eve with live coverage on BT Sport from 8am GMT.
