Opener Joe Denly top scored with a season opening century, 115, having been ably supported by Captain Rob Key, 56. Sam Northeast, 3, Martin van Jaarsveld, 43, and Geraint Jones, 2, where the other batsmen out. Darren Stevens, 12 and Alex Blake yet to score, were the not out batsmen. Lancashire faced one, maiden over before the afternoon tea break, for the loss of no wickets. The teams are schedule to play a further 30 overs today.
