The game replaced a scheduled Championship match, between Kent and Surrey’s Second teams, which had to be cancelled because of COVID-issues within the Surrey squad.

First-teamer Luke Hollman scored a century for Middlesex, 109 with 12 fours in their 435 for 7 first innings total. Freddie Klaassen took 2 for 93, and Max Luckett 2 for 48.

Kent Seconds were then bowled out twice, for 191 and 205, with former Leeds/Bradford University batsman, Taylor Cornall top scoring with 77 in both Kent innings.

Klaassen hit 45 in the first, and Hamid Qadri, a half century in the second.

Mark Harris, was the stand out bowler for Middlesex, took 5 for 40 in Kent’s first innings, whilst Harry Seagrave, took 4 for 40, as the home side were well beaten, after following on.

Kent Second XI play their final match of the season, starting on Monday next week, 6 September.

Essex will be the visitors to Polo Farm for a four day Championship fixture. Members can attend this match, and entry is free of charge.
