Serco to clean up Kent Cricket

Tuesday 14th June 2011

Kent County Cricket Club today announced a two year partnership with local service company Serco. The contract centres around three key elements; support of Kent Cricket grounds staff, the Club’s Academy programme and waste and recycling management.

Commenting on the new partnership, Kent Cricket CEO Jamie Clifford noted that, ‘This is a great initiative for the Club. Serco are determined to make a difference locally, so the support of our ground staff and Academy Programme will see very direct benefits. On top of this they are working very closely with us to step up our recycling and waste management. They’ve come to us with lots of ideas on how we can manage this essential part of our operations smarter.’

Serco Direct Services Managing Director Mike Boult stated, ‘We are very pleased to be working closely with Kent Cricket. Our staff all live locally and we are always looking for ways to support clubs within our community. Over the years we have helped the Club with tidying up after big events, so formalising the partnership gives us more opportunities to work together.’
Serco is an international service company that improves the quality and efficiency of essential services that matter to millions of people around the world.
