We’re looking forward to welcoming everyone back to the St Lawrence Ground for our final Friday Night under lights at Canterbury this T20 season.
This run-in feels similar to what we experienced last Summer. Like then, we must focus on things in our control – our performances and results need to be positive, and we can’t let any outside noise dictate the way we want to play.
We’ve shown that we’re capable of putting in big performances in this format so far in this tournament, and what I have drilled home to the players is that all of our hard work in training and preparation must translate into application once we cross the boundary rope.
There’s no need to remind them that this match means so much to our Members and supporters. I’m more aware than most of the rivalry between these two counties, and anything less than maximum effort will be unacceptable.
What I would like to see is more of your partisan support on Friday evening. We keep mentioning that it matters – it really does. Making the St Lawrence a difficult place to come is something that we can really use to our advantage.
Be loud, show your support, and we’ll be with you every step of the way.
