Spitfires Clash with Somerset Washed Out
Friday 10th June 2011
Kent Spitfires had a frustrating evening in Taunton on Friday, as rain yet again hit a Friends Life twenty20 match. Having waited until 6.45pm, the umpires; Trevor Jesty and Richard Illingworth made a final inspection and concluded the outfield was too wet to allow a match to take place. The points were therefore shared by the two sides and Kent move on to Cardiff, where they face the Glamorgan Dragons tomorrow. Weather permitting; this game will see the debut of new overseas player Wahab Riaz.
