Kent County Age Group product and 2021 Vitality Women’s County T20 South East winner Alexa Stonehouse has been registered as a senior squad member with regional centre, South East Stars.
The 16-year-old made her Kent Women debut this season and took her best figures of 2/13 in a T20 against Essex at Chelmsford.
A left-arm seamer by trade, Stonehouse also recorded a 93-ball century for Kent Under-18s batting at three against Hampshire on 12 June.
On being selected for the South East Stars senior squad, Stonehouse said: “I’m really excited to make the next step as a cricketer and really looking forward to being a South East Star.”
Kent Women Head Coach, Dave Hathrill, said: “We’re all delighted for Alexa to see her make the next step on our Talent Pathway up to a Regional side.
“She is a talented young cricketer and has already seen success as a Kent Women player, something I’m sure that she will build upon at a regional level.”
