Stumped for something to do this summer and want a great day out for free with your friends and family? The ECB and npower are inviting cricket fans to pack up their picnics and head to a local npower Cricket in the Park event – part of a series of events to celebrate what is set to be one of the most spectacular cricketing seasons in the sports history.

Experience every wicket, run, throw, catch and nail-biting moment, along with thousands of other fans, as the action is beamed out on giant screens. The npower Cricket in the Park events will bring the excitement of live cricket to fans and families around the country, providing an opportunity to watch world-class cricket on a big screen in a fun and lively atmosphere from the comfort of a picnic blanket!

Throughout the summer, npower Cricket in the Park events will create a carnival of cricket across the country for those who haven“t managed to grab a highly coveted npower Ashes Series ticket. npower Cricket in the Park will be held at five venues across England providing a community crowd and family friendly arena. The npower Cricket in the Park events will also have a whole host of other activities going on so there will be something to keep all the family amused.

Want to be the next Rob Key or Charlotte Edwards? Well, for budding cricket stars, the Sky Sports Coaching Zone at each npower Cricket in the Park event will provide cricketers and newcomers with the chance to see their actions on screen, get qualified coaching tips on how to improve play and compare cricketing skills against professional players.

The Buxton Kids Zone will certainly be making a ‘splash“ at the npower Cricket in the Park events. This watery themed, fun filled area is guaranteed to be a hit with kids of all ages and is conveniently placed in full view of the giant screens so parents can keep an eye on their little ones without missing a minute of the exciting cricketing action. With a whole host of activities on offer, from giant board games to toys aimed specifically at babies and toddlers, even the youngest family members will be kept amused this summer. With this and much more going on, the Buxton Kids Zone will be the highlight of your children“s summer! Activities abound in the zone with fancy dress competitions, face painting and interactive cricket games.
