KENT’S Director of Cricket, Graham Ford, is calling for supporters to get right behind the team as they play back-to-back Twenty20 Cup matches at The St Lawrence Ground in Canterbury. Tonight, The Kent Spitfires take on The Middlesex Panthers, in the reverse T20 fixture, after a convincing 62-run win over the holders at Lord“s.

Previewing tonight’s big tie, Ford said: ’It should be another good spectacle. I expect there to be a backlash because Middlesex were hurting after the defeat at Lord’s. We played some good cricket on Wednesday and will hope to continue it here this evening. Hopefully we will get a good crowd. The supporters have played a massive part in our Twenty20 success, over the last two years, and I hope they will come out ingood numberstonight and really get behind us.’

Kent have named an unchaged 12for the game: Joe Denly, Rob Key (C), Martin van Jaarsveld, Geraint Jones (W), Darren Stevens, Justin Kemp, Azhar Mahmood, Ryan McLaren, Simon Cook, James Tredwell, Rob Joseph, James Hockley.
