Thomas & Haggett take on CRY’s 12 A Week Challenge

Former Kent stars Ivan Thomas and Calum Haggett are currently halfway through a 12 A Week Challenge, in aid of Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY), a charity of which they are both ambassadors.

Calum Haggett sets off on a run

Participants are challenged to complete 12 miles by either Walking, Running, Cycling or Swimming done over the week, in one go or over a few days, but must be within Raising Awareness Week.

Instead of doing the 12 miles in a week, both Thomas and Haggett have set themselves a target of completing 12 kilometres a day, taking their total distance target up to a mammoth 59.648 miles over the eight days in total.

The challenge officially started on Saturday 20 November and will end on Sunday, 28 November.

During CRY’s Raising Awareness Week, the charity is also challenging everyone to complete 12 miles a day, to represent the 12 young people who die each week from young sudden cardiac death.
