Tredwell plays his part as England start their Bangladesh tour with a win

Kent off-spin bowler James Tredwell (pictured) played his part as England beat a Bangladesh Cricket Board XI by 112 runs in Mirpur.

Somerset wicketkeeper Craig Kieswetter was the star of the show. On his full debut, he hit 143 in England“s total of 370-7 in Fatullah.

He shared an opening stand of 127 with skipper Alastair Cook (56), while Paul Collingwood added a 74-ball century.

Tredwell then returned figures of 1-56, from his ten overs, as the BCB XI scored 258 for nine from their 50 overs. The Kent spinner taking the wicket of Raqibul Hasan for 41.

There was no place for his county team-mate, Joe Denly, who lost out to Kieswetter.
