Player Biography

Australian emerging star Xavier Bartlett originally signed for Kent ahead of the 2024 season on a multi-format contract, but after earning a Central Contract with Australia, was signed to play in the first eight T20 matches of the season for the Kent Spitfires.

Right-arm fast pacer Bartlett has seen a meteoric rise in the Winter of 2023, taking 20 wickets in 11 Big Bash League (BBL) matches for Brisbane Heat alongside Spitfires T20 captain Sam Billings.

He was named as the Heat’s Player of the Tournament in BBL|13, a tournament that the Gabba-based franchise won. Bartlett finished as the tournament’s top wicket-taker, taking 20 wickets at an average of only 14.70.

He received his IT20 debut cap on 13 February from a former Kent Spitfire, Marcus Stoinis. He took the wickets of both West Indies openers, Johnson Charles & Kyle Mayers, in his first innings with the ball as an Australia International T20 cricketer.
